Ballet Theater of Lancaster 2008-2009 Season
Ballet Theater of Lancaster is the only non-profit, performing ballet company in Lancaster County, for dancers 11 to 23 years old.
Ballet Theater offers dedicated young people a comprehensive dance experience designed to educate and enrich dancers, as well as the
local community. The year long commitment to Ballet Theater requires company members to attend a minimum of three ballet classes and
two rehearsals per week, and perform in The Nutcracker, the annual spring ballet and Lancaster Summer Arts Festival. Throughout the
year, dancers have the opportunity to work with a variety of renowned teachers and choreographers, and to participate in the creative
process and hard work required to produce a polished performance.
Auditions are open to all students regardless of dance studio affiliation. The required weekly ballet classes must include Pointe work,
and may be taken at student’s studio of choice. Rehearsals are held at Lancaster School of Ballet’s Grant Street location.
